Helps with static fly aways of my fine hair. Odd scent.

I have fine long layered hair that likes to do it's static thing when the environment is dry. I've been looking for something that won't weigh my hair down, but help with the static fly aways. This "Jack Henry Hair Styling Cream for Men & Women - Lightweight Grooming Cream" does the trick for that. I've tried to like the scent though, but just don't. It's odd and hard to describe- it is very lightly scented, kind of a cross between something lemony and with a touch of liquorish, but overall the scent reminds me of a cleaning product, so I'll give this cream to someone who will like it better. 4 stars for doing the job; it lost one star for the odd scent.

It's the perfect hair pomade!!!

I used R&co, old spice, American crew and many other brands, they were either too tough, too sticky, smelly, or caused white dust or residue, sometimes they hold too hard or they were just not lasting, and some caused light itch if you didn't wash that hair end of the day. This small magic right here got my attention. It has that cool sensation, it feels like cold towel wrapped around your head, very nice and cool and light smell, it isn't sticky at all, doesn't get hard nor soft, perfect hold, did not build up any residue or dust at all, couple hours after messing with the hair when this was on it. You can wet it to get hold back again, and did not cause any itch. Now i need them to make a bigger jar, so i can buy one and use it for a month or two because this is very small. Also, you don't need to use too much, it leathers and spreads very well!

A light, non-greasy hair creme

I ordered the Jack Henry Hair Styling Cream for my thin hair to tame frizz, especially on humid days. The 1.6-ounce glass jar of water- based cream -infused with oils and botanicals has a pleasant scent that reminds me of anise and lemon, but in a good way. I've been applying a small amount to my fingers and working it through my freshly washed and dried hair to the ends. The fragrance dissipates quickly, and the cream smooths my hair without feeling greasy. I like that it doesn't weigh down my fine hair. The hair cream is made in the U.S. by jack henry, a California based small business. I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking to tame frizz with a product that is good for your hair.

Nice Quality - light hold

I have fine hair that tends to get weighed down. This cream is effective at taming the frizz, but "plays well" with other styling products when I use them. Used alone the hair stays flexible and will appear to have nothing in it.A few notes:- I see complaints that it's not unscented, but nowhere in the current description does it say it's unscented, it just says the product is for both men and women. It has a lemony scent that does have a unisex vibe to it. It's strong in the jar, but once the product is in my hair I don't notice it. The smell will linger on your hands for awhile after applying it but only if you don't wash your hands.-If your looking for styling control, you will need to add another product. This is more about smoothing and taming frizz.- This product fits with what you would usually find in this price range. Short ingredient list, picture posted for those interested.

Get the Warm and Fuzzies ☺️

Love the creamy, light texture of the product. When you apply it to your hair, it goes on effortlessly, dries clean and holds while also being flexible. The smell is very fresh and clean, not floral or perfumed, it’s like if a New Spring morning🌦️high fived✋🏽 a Unicorn🦄 relaxing in a hot spring! Yeah that’s what it smells like 😂 This container is epic, the glass makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m a guy, so I’m used to squeezing my hair product out of a cheap plastic bottle or tube…If you like the look of hair after product has had a chance to set, move, and dry then this is what you need. Hair that looks great, feels smooth! Control+Relaxed= Jack Henry Styling Cream

Works as expected but stinks

This works well to tame flyaways without making my thin, fine hair oily or weighing it down. My only complaint is it stinks. It may be unscented but absolutely has a smell. I can't describe the smell, but it's not pleasant. I just hope the scent dissipates so my hair doesn't stink all day.

Very lightly scented, adds shine and curl definition!

This product does help tame frizz, adds shine and curl definition. I tried it on my dry hair, and it worked well. I only needed a tiny bit to work it through one section of my hair. The price is a bit high, but it seems to be a high quality item, comparable to products you might find at a hair salon. I recommend this hair cream!

Not The Right Product For My Hair

This Jack Henry styling cream is creamy and easy to apply to my damp hair. I have heavy highlights and lowlights to give my hair contrast and depth. This Jack Henry cream gave my hair a flat dull look that drastically reduced the contrast between the two colors and my natural hair color giving it a flat look. This is a lighter cream than I’m used to using, I prefer one that is heavier with more holding power and one that accentuates my colors. In my opinion, this is a small container and somewhat overpriced. I think there are better options costing much less.

Nah

Very tiny tub for the coat. White pasts that dries down but not enough hold to tamw frizz or fly aways. Doesn't have the best hold when compared to other brands.

Works well

This styling cream smells fairly good. It is a lighter weight styling cream. This doesn’t have as strong of a hold as others I have used before. It did not leave my hair sticky either. It did work well.

Undesirable scent

The smell eventually becomes less noticeable after application, but it's unpleasant during application. This goes on like a white paste. If I want more hold, I have to add more product than I like. It doesn't last all day unfortunately, so fly aways do emerge as the day progresses.

Great styling cream...

Comes out thick, and absorbs into your hair in no time. I use a blow dryer on low heat to get it to dry faster and in the style I want. The scent is very soft and leaves your hair with no residue.

Very pleased with this hair cream

I've been using Aveda hair paste for a few years and figured I'd try something a little different. First impression of this product out of the packaging was good, it comes in a nice solid metal container. The cream is a lot lighter and fluffier than the Aveda paste I've been using, and it makes it easy to apply to my hair. It provides a light hold but keeps my hair in place all day, without using very much of it at all. This is priced a little less than the Aveda, and I think this will be my go-to hair product going forward. I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend it!

My curls didn’t like it

I applied a tiny amount on damp hair. Can always add more, right? Tried a little more. Then a little more. Went quickly from no noticeable difference to greasy looking. Didn’t hold, frizzy bits just laughed and did their thing. So it’s not a win for fine curly hair. The teen tried it on his thick waves and liked it ok. Not enough hold to tolerate the lingering smell. Pricey too. Not for us. At this price point it needs to be spectacular.

Updated review with more stars - this product might be awesome!

It just feels like any other pomade I'd get OTC at a decent department store, or the nicer stuff at a Walmart or Target. For the quantity - eh? I didn't notice anything exemplary about the hold. Frizz was still there, but muted a bit. If you're gonna say "no frizz" you better mean it!Edit: used this for a few more days with thin hair (not "thinning' just not thick-bodied) and the waves and volume I got were pretty damn impressive. People called me "handsome".So, this certainly lives up to the claims. Is it worth MSRP? Eh. I'd get this on sale. But I'd be happy to do so!

Not a fan

The scent is okay, not great. It didn’t really do anything for my husbands hair. It kept it styled for the first 30 minutes but that was it

Good cream.

This hair styling cream goes on easily and doesn't leave a sticky residue. I like that it keeps my hair looking "done" and not flaky or white. Great holding power too!

Smells weird

Smells weird. It doesnt really smell good or bad, but I wouldn't want to hug people while wearing this. I like how filled the container is, though, and the case doesn't seem like it would crack easily.

Very light weight

This hair cream is wonderful at taming frizz, but doesn’t do as well defining curls. I used this on my daughter’s loose, puffy curls and it really didn’t change them at all. However, I used it on my fine, straight hair to tame the frizz and it worked wonderfully. It didn’t weigh my hair down, and it smells nice and clean.

Very light scent, helps prevent frizz

This has a very light scent, almost non-existent, so it is easy to keep in all day without constantly smelling like a hair product. It did help with managing frizz and fly aways with my very fine hair but if I get just a little much somewhere my hair feels a bit greasy, I'm not even sure greasy is the correct word, maybe more like heavy like it's weighing my hair down. As long as I use it very sparingly it seems to do a good job of keeping my hair looking a bit more shiny and smooth when I want it to be or straight when I want it to be. The holding power of it really isn't anything to write home about but the other qualities make up for it not having much holding power.

Made my hair feel sticky

I am always looking for hair products to make my hair less frizzy. This product is a cream that has a nice smell however, even after using just a small amount and blow drying my hair I felt that my hair was sticky and had a film on it. May work for others, just not for me as my hair is thick and coarse.

Lightweight hair cream

This product is ok.Its feels heavy when you first touch, but its really light once I add to my fine hair.It does make it more greasy the next day, but for freshly washed hair it’s ok.I’m not really sure what it’s for though? It provides no definition or hold power. Maybe like a leave in conditioner? Idk.The smell is not bad to me. It had a deep almost grape like smell, but I couldn’t smell it after I put it in my hair.
